Honoring Cabbagetown's past as a little bit of country in the big city, the Chomp and Stomp 5K, Chili Cook-Off and Bluegrass Festival on Saturday, November 5 features the old-time music that was popular when residents and mill workers like Fiddlin' John Carson lived here. They played that old-time music and preserved rural traditions right here in the middle of Atlanta. And, what's better than chili and bluegrass on a November afternoon? Folks from miles around descend on our old mill town for a good old-fashioned cook-off!
Smoking is allowed in the Milltown Arms Tavern per City of Atlanta Ordinance. The owners recommend that parents with small children consider this before bringing them.
